Hi, I’m Mia Phan!
I am the creator and founder of EasterMia, and a local nail esthetician in Burlington, Ontario.
All my life, I have been surrounded by strong, caring, and hardworking women; from my mother, Helen Nguyen, who spent over 30 years in the nail industry, to the clients that come into my salon in between work, making dinner, and driving the kids to dance class.
Trust me, I know how rare moments of self-care and rest can be.
That is why I love to create a relaxing experience for my clients that leave them feeling refreshed and ready to conquer the week’s responsibilities. For me, a big part of this is choosing products that are safe and free of toxic chemicals and fragrances.
Unfortunately, I have seen first hand how the toxic chemicals in mainstream nail polish brands can affect the physical health of its users. When I was young, my own Mother’s mentor passed away from lung cancer after spending years in nail salons. She never smoked a cigarette in her life.
Not only did I notice estheticians suffering, but also clientele. Many of my valued clients would experience skin sensitivities, cuticle irritation, mild allergic reactions, or other ill effects from the harsh products used in the salon. I no longer felt like I was delivering the rejuvenating experience that my clients deserved. Something had to change.
Little did I know, EasterMia could be that change. On a wave of inspiration, I contacted a chemist and we worked together to create a truly one of a kind polish, free of all the most common toxins used in other mainstream brands. Fast-forward to today, and we are working hard on continuously expanding our line of vegan products to include other nail-care and beauty supplies.
It is my mission with EasterMia to provide a line of products that will treat my hardworking ladies with the care and compassion that they so generously share with others every single day.
Acts of self-care, however, go beyond health; they are also about having fun and feeling beautiful. Coming from an educational background in fashion, I bring this passion into hand-designing every product, and every shade of EasterMia that is released on our site.
So, whether you are taking extra precautions around chemicals as a soon-to-be mom, are prone to allergies, vegan, or just looking for that perfect shade of pink, EasterMia has you (and your nails!) covered.
